But she says that her acting training gave her confidence and an ability to self-evaluate that has taken her far since her days in the studios of the Centre for Film and Theatre.

Spotlight on Faculty: Ines Buchli
Acting-Directing Professor Ines Buchli‘s production of Patricia Gruben’s new play The Secret Doctrine is being mounted from Tuesday to Saturday (July 2 to 6) at Simon Fraser University Woodward’s Theatre in Vancouver, BC. The play deals with an investigation into 19th-century occultist Helena Blavatsky, played by Vancouver actor Gabrielle Rose (pictured).
Macbeth and Taming of the Shrew Now Playing in High Park
MFA directors Ted Witzel and Ker Wells have been busy at the High Park amphitheatre staging their productions of Shakespeare’s classic plays, which are a Canadian Stage production in collaboration with the Department of Theatre in the Faculty of Fine Arts. Macbeth opened July 3, while The Taming of the Shrew opened July 16. Shakespeare in the Park runs to September 1, with shows nightly at 8 pm.
