Spotlight on Faculty: Jamie Robinson
Jamie Robinson, a native Torontonian, is our most recent addition to the full-time faculty in the Dept. of Theatre. Professor Robinson will be teaching Acting and Directing, and brings a wealth of experience to the department as an actor, director, creator, researcher, and advocate.
Theatre Devising Starter Kit: Tools to Create from Scratch
The “Theatre Devising Starter Kit” will offer a series of FREE online lessons, workshop activities, collaborative opportunities, and feedback sessions for high school students interested in learning how to devise original theatre pieces from scratch. This 2 week, six session online course is aimed at students in grade 11-12 or 1st/2nd year post-secondary students interested in creating their own performance based work from scratch. Student will learn new lessons/activities each day led by professional artist educators, Aaron Jan, Lucy Powis, Luke Reece, & Autumn Smith.

Spotlight on Faculty: Sean Robertson-Palmer
Sean Robertson-Palmer currently is a Sessional Assistant Professor in Performance Creation in the Dept of Theatre. He has been involved with the Kadozuke Kollektif theatre company on and off since its inception in 2006, participating in “The Gulliver Project,” “Figaro; His Marriage & the Fine Art of Dressmaking” and “The Sandman.” Sean also straddles the academic and the performative realms, combining his interdisciplinary performance with practice-based research.
